Aligning to Your Income Goal: It's Not About Hitting It, It’s About Becoming It

When it comes to setting income goals, many people focus on the end result (the numbers on the screen or the balance in the bank). But what if I told you that the true purpose of setting income goals isn’t about achieving the goal? What if the real goal is to align yourself and your business with the version of you that easily hits those numbers easily?

To achieve your desired income, the first step isn’t just strategy or tactics, it is also focusing on the identity of the person whose business can sustain and generate that level of income. 

Here’s how to align YOURSELF to your income goal:


 

What’s Your Daily Income Desire?

Instead of focusing solely on monthly or annual targets, break the numbers down. Ask yourself: How much am I desiring to make per day? This is where clarity starts. Once you know the number, consider whether your current business structure can realistically support that.

- Do you have a product suite that makes hitting that daily income goal possible?

- Are your offers structured in a way that it's a no-brainer for your audience to invest?

Is Your Offer Clear and Valuable?

It’s not enough to have products or services; your offers need to resonate with your audience. 

Ask yourself:

- Have you packaged your offers in a way that is irresistible?

- Are people immediately seeing the value, and do they understand the transformation you provide?

- Are you clear about the specific outcomes your offers deliver?

 

When your audience knows what they'll achieve by working with you, and the offer is too good to pass up, hitting your income goal becomes achievable.

 

Are You Reaching the Right Audience?

Even with the best offer, it won't succeed if it's marketed to the wrong people. Ensure you’re connecting with an audience that craves the outcomes you’re promising. Ask yourself:

- Is your messaging clear and directed toward those who desire what you offer?

- Are you consistently reaching the right audience, or does your marketing need refinement?

 

Do You Know Your Numbers?

A critical component of aligning to your income goal is understanding the specifics of how you’ll get there:

- Do you know how many sales you need to make each day to hit your goal?

- Have you put in place a clear strategy that supports these daily sales?

 

Without a plan, even the best goals remain dreams.

 

Are You Embodying Your Success?

One of the most powerful ways to align to your income goal is to act as if it's already happening. This means:

- Are you showing up every day with the energy and mindset that it’s already done?

- Do you remain in your power, regardless of what external evidence might show?

 

Staying committed to your vision, even without immediate results, builds the consistency and belief necessary for true alignment.

 

Does Your Goal Stretch You?

Safe goals don’t inspire change. If your income goal doesn’t push you to grow, expand, and evolve into your highest self, it’s time to rethink it. Ask yourself:

- Is this goal designed to make me uncomfortable in the best way possible?

- Does it stretch me to become the version of myself who can handle this level of success?

 

If the answer is no, it’s time to increase it ;-) 

 

Is Your Goal Connected to Your Vision?

Money goals, by themselves, can feel empty. However, when your income goal is tied to a deeper vision or mission, it gains power and purpose. Reflect on whether your goal is aligned with your soul’s desires:

- Does it light you up, or is it driven by external pressure?

- Is it connected to something bigger than yourself?

 

When your income goal is part of a vision that speaks to your heart, you’ll be more inspired to show up and do the work.

 

Are You Living As Your Future Self?**

To align with your income goal, you need to embody the traits, habits, and mindset of the person who has already achieved it. Ask yourself:

- What would the woman who achieves this goal be doing that I’m not?

- How would she show up differently every day?

Every moment you're not hitting your goal is an opportunity to practice being that version of yourself. Use it to your advantage.

Aligning to your income goal is a process of becoming the person who can achieve and sustain that goal. Every step, every challenge, every day that you fall short is a chance to refine, recalibrate, and grow into the highest version of yourself. So don’t just focus on the number… Focus on the alignment that gets you there, and the success will naturally follow.
